From the 1st of Ramadan, some young men wearing white t-shirts and red-green caps are seen in different spots of Dhaka, who are hand-delivering gift bags of iftar items to pedestrians, rickshaw drivers, rickshaw passengers, bus passengers, private car passengers, motorcycle passengers before Iftar. The bag was opened and there were dates, water, juice and cake. These Iftar gift bags are delivered by the youth hand to hand to the fasting people who are not able to reach their destination within the specified time of Iftar.
When the youth volunteers were asked about their activities, one of the youths said that in this holy month of Ramadan, our main goal is to deliver iftar items to the hands of pilgrims returning home just before iftar. So that a fasting person can safely break his fast at any time. This gift bag of Iftar is being delivered to the hands of 100 pilgrims who are fasting every day. Our special program of Iftar on the way will run for 30 Ramadan in 30 spots outside Dhaka, Munshiganj and Dhaka.
The main initiator of the Iftar program is expatriate gentleman and successful businessman Mujibur Rahman Milon. He told us about this initiative, in this holy and great month of Ramadan, this small effort of mine is only for the pleasure of Allah. If even a pedestrian fasting is benefited through this, that is our achievement. He also said that despite the desire of many people, this great work is not possible due to lack of necessary manpower and management. But in this special initiative of mine, Voice Asian.News, the only mouthpiece of the Bengali community in Asia, has come forward with the responsibility of proper management to hand over Iftar to the pilgrims on the way throughout Ramadan. They continue this program daily with their team of young people, Voice Asian. I want to be with the people of the country in this kind of social and great work in the future as well.
